Dyson’s new Pure Cool Me uses purified air to keep you cool
Dyson has unveiled a new personal fan that can not only keep you cool but also purify the air around you at the same time.
The Dyson Pure Cool Me takes the company’s well-known air multiplier technology and shrinks it down to this smaller and more personal size.
Dyson already has several purifier products that are designed for an entire room or large sections of your home.
The Dyson Pure Cool Me uses new Core Flow technology in this latest purifier which can sit on a bedside table, on the kitchen counter or on a desktop to cool anyone close by with purified air.
The product draws air in through the base and fires it upwards to the dome with two streams of air that collide on the convex surface to create a high-pressure core and project a single channel of air.
It’s already well known how many particles and toxins are in the air even when we are indoors.
We spend up to 90 per cent of our time inside working, studying, eating, exercising and sleeping in the air we breathe contains dust, allergens and fumes and could affect our well-being.
Indoor pollution is real and we are exposed to various particles, fumes and odours that come from furniture, plants, cooking, perfume, hairsprays, scented candles and many more which reach our personal space.
The on-board HEPA filter of the Dyson Pure Cool Me can capture 99.95 per cent of particle pollutants including ultrafine particles like pollen, mould spores and bacteria while the activated carbon within the filter can absorb and trap gases, odours and household fumes including volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
The Dyson Pure Cool Me is designed for your personal space and is acoustically engineered to be as quiet as possible.
Under the hood is a layer of acoustic attenuation foam in the base of the machine to absorb added noise from the motor.
Also onboard is an intelligent light sensing system that can automatically dim or brighten the built-in LCD screen in the base so it can suit your environment.
There is also a sleep timer which can be set to turn the machine off after intervals ranging from 30 minutes to up to eight hours.
The Dyson Pure Cool Me goes on sale in Australia on September 6 from dyson.com.au and major electrical retailers. It will be priced at $499.
