TCL has joined major TV players Samsung and LG and introduced its first 8K TV model at the IFA tech trade show in Berlin. It will be available for Australian customers in 2019.

The new 8K TV – the X10 – will be released alongside TCL’s new Frame TV+ and the X8.

All of these new TVs will be released in Australia next year and will be running the Android operating system along Alexa and Google Assistant.

The TCL X10 will include an 8K display with local dimming technology to offer enhanced contrast and picture quality.

Each of the new TCL TVs models will also feature Onkyo sound, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ support and Quantum Dot picture technology.

“TCL’s 2019 range will give Australians the opportunity to experience a new level of immersive and seamless entertainment,” said Jason Carrick, TCL’s Australian National Sales Director.

“Our new models aim to enhance the experiences our customers crave, but also aim to prepare our customers for new developments in the market, such as the introduction of Google Assistant – which is yet to reach Aussie shores.”

The new TCL Art Design range will be headed by the Frame TV+ which has a unique frame to blend it into your home décor in a different way.

“Over the last few years we have had a strong focus on integrating our technology into the way we live – both from a user experience and home design perspective,” Carrick says.

“Artificial intelligence is touching our lives in more ways than one, which is why TCL’s 2019 range will focus on AI T-Home, to continue to utilise developments in AI and drive a seamless connected life by connecting all smart home services.

“Australians can expect to be blown away by our 2019 range, there really is a model for everyone to enjoy a new level of entertainment and experience.”

Pricing and availability of the new TCL TVs will be announced in early 2019.
