Oppo has just launched its new Find N2 Flip foldable smartphone

Oppo has launched the Find N2 Flip – a foldable smartphone that’s set to rival Samsung’s popular Galaxy Z Flip4. It has a 6.8-inch main display and a front 3.26-inch screen.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip is aimed at the customer who wants the benefits of a big display but doesn’t want the burden of carrying around a large device.

It has a 6.8-inch OLED foldable screen with an improved hinge mechanism, so the device unfolds with a less visible crease.

The hinge is made from aircraft-grade high-strength steel and polymer to keep it thin but still strong and sturdy.

And when the device is closed, the front 3.26-inch screen offers lots of shortcuts and the ability to access apps, view notifications and even take photos without having to open it.

There are widgets for the smaller display to view at a glance things like the weather and media control.

On the camera side, the Find N2 Flip has a 50-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel wide angle camera along with a 32-megapixel front camera.

With the ability to rest the phone in the open position like a laptop, this creates an easier way to capture selfies, make video calls and enjoy video content.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip is powered by am 8-core MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chip with a 4,300mAh battery that supports 44W SUPERVOOC PD (power delivery) fast charging.

You can go from zero to 50 per cent charge in just 23 minutes.

Security-wise, the Oppo Find N2 Flip offers fingerprint and facial recognition.

The device is running Oppo’s ColorOS13 operating system which offers a fast and easy way to navigate the features and your content.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip will be available in Astral Black and Moonlit Purple.

The Australian pricing and release date is yet to be announced.
