The Apple Watch is still six weeks away from launch and the accessories for the device are already appearing. The latest is the WatchStand from Griffin – a charging dock for the Apple Watch.
Griffin’s WatchStand is a pedestal that holds the Apple Watch at an angle that still makes the screen easily viewable.
With battery life quoted at 18 hours for Apple Watch, the Griffin WatchStand will make it easier to have the device charged up and ready to go.
To hold the Apple Watch in place the WatchStand uses the charger that comes with the smartwatch that can be feed through the centre of the post when it is put together.
The magnetic connector sits at the top of the pedestal and holds the Apple Watch securely in place.
The Apple Watch can be displayed vertically or horizontally.
The weighted base has a raised lip so it can also be used to position an iPhone at a comfortable angle as well.
Griffin’s WatchStand will be available in Australia mid-year and will be priced at around $40. Official pricing will be announced at launch.
