How having larger or multiple monitors can make you even more productive

Having a larger computer monitor or even a second monitor with our computers is a growing trend to help us become more productive and to make it easier to multitask.

LG has recognised this fact and recently launched a 38-inch UltraWide curved monitor (38UC99) which offers enough screen real estate to easily run several applications at the same time.

The monitor includes a feature called OnScreen Control which allows users to search the text and images from multiple running applications at the same time.

This is all in the aid of productivity and LG, in partnership with productivity technology expert Donna Hanson has come up with a few tips to help you get more done in the same amount of time.

– Adopting multiple screens can reduce interruptions to workflow. This can be useful for those who require precision while using multiple programs and windows simultaneously.

– Be strategic in the workstation is set-up: An ambient monitor offers a neat way of keeping information like emails and social media feeds within the line of sight. This ensures users remain focused on the task at hand on their primary screen.

– A larger display is ideal when there are high volumes of word processing or data entry. Consider a monitor that has a 21:9 display ratio – these often measure about 29 to 34-inches diagonally, providing adequate real estate for running multiple text and spreadsheet programs simultaneously.

– Adopt positive and practical habits: take hourly breaks away from screens throughout the day (including smartphones). In the evenings, unplug from technology and avoid checking work emails after hours.

The LG 38-inch UltraWide curved monitor is available now and is priced at $2,199.
