The system makes it possible for a funeral to be broadcast over the web to allow virtual guests to view and even take part in the service.
Even if you’re not there, One Room makes it possible for friends, family and loves ones to connect, share and remember in times of grief from anywhere in the world.
And if you can’t view it live the service is then available to watch online at a time that suits you.
The high quality live stream is available to view on a computer, tablet or through the One Room iOS app and is designed to make virtual guests feel as if they are sitting in the room.
The service is secure with email invitations sent to guests so they can either access the service live or later at a time that suits them.
When watching the funeral service online, viewers are able to switch between views of the coffin, the audience or the pulpit.
Since launching in New Zealand there have been viewers from more than 70 different countries watching One Room streams.
“It’s great to know that One Room can provide a service that makes such a difference,” said One Room’s Australian Business Development Manager, Alan McLean.
“One Room system is already available in funeral chapels in NSW and VIC, and is a huge success in New Zealand.
“Our recent attendance at the Sydney Funeral Expo confirmed that our product was relevant and in demand.
“We have a great opportunity to dominate the market in Australia as our technology and streaming quality is so high.”
