Hear about the latest tech and win great prizes at the Tech Arena at the Easter Show

The Sydney Royal Easter show kicks off today and you can see Tech Guide editor Stephen Fenech on stage in the Tech Arena talking about the latest technology and products and giving away lots of prizes.

The Tech Arena – in its second year at the Easter Show – is the place where you can get your hands on the latest devices.

Tech Guide’s Stephen Fenech will be on stage at the Tech Arena Theatre four times every day to give show goers and insight into what we can expect to see in 2015 and beyond as well as offering tech tip, tricks and hints.

Visitors to Stephen’s presentations also have the opportunity to win tech prizes after every single presentation every single day.

Each presentation is powered by Zeetings which means it’s interactive with users able to follow the show on their smartphones and vote in the live polls and questions on the big screen.

His four presentations at the Tech Arena Theatre – which can be found at the end of Hall 3 – are:

11am – TVs: From Idiot Box to Smart Screen.

The TV used to be a big wooden box that sat in the corner of the room. The “idiot box” has had an incredible transformation to become a connected smart device brimming with technology and looking better than ever.

At this presentation you’ll be in the running to win a Google Chromecast.

1pm – The Internet of Things – the connected world of technology

We’re living in a connected world and our devices are not only linked to the internet but also to each other with the ability to transfer data and commands to make our lives and our homes smarter then ever before.

You can enter for your chance to win a Belkin Wemo Switch at this show.

3pm – Smartphones and the smart devices of 2015

You can’t live without our smartphones – they have become the remote control of our lives and our link to the outside. But phones aren’t the only devices that can be called smart in 2015.

The prize on offer for this presentation is the Alcatel OneTouch Pop C7 smartphone.

5pm – Tech Life Hacks – tips and tricks to make your tech life easier

If you want to learn the ways to use your gadgets even easier, cheaper and more efficiently then you need to hear about the many tech tips, tricks and hacks that can change your life.

If you’re in the audience for the last presentation of the day you might be going home with the Garmin Vivofit fitness band.

The Sydney Royal Easter Show runs from March 26 to April 8.
