Garmin’s Approach X10 GPS golf band is like have a caddy on your wrist

Garmin has introduced a new simple and intuitive GPS golf band – the Approach X10 – which is like having your very own caddy providing precise distances on the course.

The device comes preloaded with more than 41,000 golf courses around the world (with free lifetime updates) so players can see exact distances to the front, back and middle of the green on the bright 1-inch touch-screen display.

The device has a water-resistant design so it can handle the rain and sweat and has a battery that lasts up to 12 hours in GPS mode.

The Approach X10 can also display hazards like bunkers and water along with layouts and doglegs.

The wearable is smart enough to transition automatically as you move from one hole to another.

It can also keep track of all your stats including greens in regulation plus putts and fairways.

There is also a feature to measure your shot distances to give you a better idea on club selection on the course.

The Garmin Approach X10 has Green View display which gives players an image showing the layout of the green, and users can move the pin to match that day’s placement.

The Approach X10 also works with the Garmin golf app which lets users compete in weekly leaderboards on any golf course.

This free app makes it possible to take on your friends and fellow club golfers on the same course as well as view other players ranks, scores and handicap.

The app can be used to set up your own tournament and invite multiple friends to compete.

The Garmin Approach X10 will be available in February and will be priced at $249.
