Nintendo has confirmed it will be releasing the new Nintendo Switch with a 7-inch OLED screen later this year so your games will look better than ever.
The Nintendo switch OLED model is similar in size to the original Nintendo Switch console but manages to fit a larger vibrant 7-inch OLED screen which provides stunning colour and high contrast.
The unit also has a wide adjustable stand for tabletop mode a dock for a wired LAN port for stable online play as well as 64GB of internal storage and onboard speakers with enhanced audio for handheld and tabletop play.
And like the original switch, users will be able to play the OLED model on their TV and shared the detachable Joy-Con controllers for multiplayer fun.
Launching on October 8, 2021, the Nintendo switch OLED model will be priced at $539.95.
The Nintendo Switch OLED model will allow users to play in three modes including TV mode, where the Nintendo Switch OLED model console sits in the dock and connects to your TV, Tabletop mode where you can flip the stand on the back of the console for a solid and sturdy foundation but still freely tilt the console with more range on the viewing angle and Handheld mode where users can take the device wherever they want to play local or online multiplayer with friends.
The Nintendo Switch OLED model will come in two colour options including white which has white Joy-Con controllers, a black main unit and a white dock and also Neon Red/ Neon Blue which has a Neon Red and Neon Blue Joy-Con controllers a black main unit and a black dock.
All of the previously released Joy-Con controllers for Nintendo Switch will be compatible with this new model.
And, of course, Nintendo Switch OLED model is fully compatible with the entire library of Nintendo switch games.
