Pet owners will know their dogs and cats like to come in and out of the house often but leaving the door open constantly is now always an option. That problem has been solved by Wayzn – a sliding glass door opener.
The device, which was on display at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, can detect heat and motion and be set to open automatically giving your pets easy entry and exit into your home instead of having to build a doorway – which is really not possible with a glass sliding door.
Wayzn is easy to install in seconds – it fits inside the rail of the sliding door and requires no tools.
And when you don’t want to use it – it just pivots out of the way.
It’s also possible to transfer Wayzn to other sliding doors in your home.
Wayzn offers easy access for your pets whether you’re home or not because it is completely controllable from anywhere using the Wayzn app.
The device can also connect to your security cameras so you can receive and alert when your pet is at the door, check through your camera and active Wayzn remotely.
Soon Wayzn will also introduce integration with third party smart sensors.
The company is also working on a companion product – a smart collar which will trigger the door to open and close when your pet is close to the door.
Wayzn was funded and developed in the US through Indiegogo with the campaign reaching its funding goal in just seven hours.
There have been already been more than 200,000 orders just in the US and it will available to Australian customers through the Wayzn website. It is priced at $US399.
