How the Ellcie Healthy smart connected eyewear could save your life

Ellcie Healthy Is the name of the new smart connected eyewear which was unveiled at the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas – and it can look after you in a number of ways.

We’ve seen other smart glasses like Google Glass and the Epson Moverio which place information in your eye line.

The Ellcie Healthy connected eyewear doesn’t offer that type of functionality but have several smarts of their own.

First of all, they look like regular glasses and can even be fitted with your own prescription lenses.

Onboard are dozens of sensors located in the frame to detect things like eye blinks, eye movement and head movement.

This means the glasses can detect drowsiness, driver distraction and falls.

Through the built-in AI and a proprietary algorithm, Ellcie Healthy can be used in a variety of situations.

One example would be as a safety device while driving.

The sensors can detect increased blinking and head movements which can indicate drowsiness.

The smart connected glasses can also tell when you are looking away from the road which could indicate driver distraction.

And because it works with a companion app, it would also be able to contact friends and family and provide a notification.

The sensors and accelerometer can also provide fall detection so it would be useful for hikers, people living alone and in remote areas or on job sites.

The French company behind Ellcie Healthy has an objective to use innovation to detect potential risks and improve people’s health and well-being.

Its smart connected eyewear is an example of a product that can be used in a variety of situations and with the potential to save lives.

Ellcie Healthy smart connected eyewear will be available in the coming months and will be priced at about $400.
