LG enters the laptop market with the slim and light LG gram

LG, a brand we usually associate with TVs and appliances, will enter the laptop market in 2021 with the premium ultra-light and ultra-portable LG gram laptop.

They have an impressive design and offer premium performance and a long battery life so they can be used all day on the move.

The global line-up of the LG gram laptops will include five models – LG gram 17 (model 17Z90P), LG gram 16 (model 16Z90P), LG gram 14 (model 14Z90P), LG gram 2-in-1 16 (model 16T90P) and LG gram 2-in-1 14 (model 14T90P) and all will include a 16:10 aspect ratio screen and even thinner bezels which means you’re getting a larger screen in a smaller chassis.

Some models in this range will arrive in Australia in the first quarter of 2021.

The LG gram has more screen real estate than a 16:9 display which means it can show more information at any one time.

The keyboard and touchpad have been optimised to offer faster, easier typing without impacting the design and portability of the device.

The high resolution displays cover 99 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour space and can be enjoyed for work and entertainment thanks to the realistic picture quality, accurate colours and impressive contrast and clarity.

And the four-sided super slim bezel design helps the viewer immerse themselves even further into their content.

The LG gram 17 has a 17-inch screen but only weighs 1.35kg while the equally portable LG gram 16 and 14 tip the scales at just 1.19kg and 999g respectively with a thickness of 1.68cm.

And thanks to the ultra-narrow bezels and hidden hinge design, these models have an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 90 per cent.

The LG gram laptops are running by the new Intel Evo platform which is powered by an 11th Gen Intel Core processor with Iris X graphics and fast LPDDR4x memory.

Both the 16 and 14-inch LG gram models have a 2-in-1 design for added convenience thanks to the LG 360-degree hinge and the slim and light design.

The LG gram 2-in-1 also comes with a stylus pen which works with Wacom AES 2.0 for easy navigation and control and a precise writing and drawing experience.

“Synonymous with outstanding portability and first-class performance, the LG gram brand continues to raise the bar for the ultra-slim laptop market,” said Jang Ik-hwan, senior vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company. “With sleeker, more refined designs and 16:10 aspect ratio displays while maintaining lightweight, our latest LG gram line-up gives consumers the ability to enjoy better productivity and more immersive viewing experiences wherever they go.”
