Apple releases new 13-inch MacBook Pro which now includes a Magic Keyboard

Apple has just released the updated 13-inch MacBook Pro which includes the new Magic Keyboard for easier typing, the 10th generation Intel Core quad-core processor and double the onboard storage of the previous generation.

The new 13-inch MacBook Pro has a Retina display and an aluminium unibody design with a weight of just 1.4kg which makes it easily portable and packed with performance.

“Whether you’re a college student, a developer, or a creative pro, the 13-inch MacBook Pro delivers powerful performance, a stunning Retina display, and all-day battery life in our most portable pro notebook,” said Tom Boger, Apple’s senior director of Mac and iPad Product Marketing.

“Today we’re adding the new Magic Keyboard, doubling the standard storage, and boosting performance, making the 13-inch MacBook Pro an even better value for our customers. “With these updates, our entire notebook line-up features the Magic Keyboard for the best typing experience ever on a Mac notebook, offers twice the standard storage than before, and delivers even more performance.”

One of the biggest updates is the Magic Keyboard which has become now standard across all of Apple’s MacBooks.

With a new scissor mechanism and 1mm of key travel, the typing experience has become more comfortable, stable and accurate.

Also included with the keyboard is a new inverted T arrangement for the arrow keys which are easier to find and easier to use.

Apple has doubled the standard SSD (solid state drive) storage to 256GB and also increased RAM to 16GB on select models.

On the performance side, the new 13-inch MacBook Pro is backed by the 10th generation quad-core Intel Core  processors with a turbo boost speed of up to a blistering 4.1Ghz.

Graphics-wise, the Intel Iris Plus Graphics offer 80 per cent faster performance than the previous version so it can easily handle tasks like 4K video editing.

The 13-inch Retina display has more than four million pixels and up to 500 nits of brightness.

Also onboard is the Touch Bar for textual controls literally at your fingertips.

Users will also find the Touch ID sensor in the top right corner of the keyboard for security and privacy. It can also be used to authorise purchases and entering passwords.

Apple’s new 13-inch MacBook Pro is available to order today with prices starting $1,999 and $1,849 with an education discount.
