Bose releases its first truly wirefree SoundSport Free earphones

Bose has launched its first truly wirefree earphones – the SoundSport Free – which have no cables whatsoever and gives listeners an even easier way to enjoy their music on the move from two small earbuds.

The SoundSport Free have been engineered to provide not only wireless freedom but also uncompromised performance and comfort and all housed in two rugged earbuds.

Each earbud weighs less than 10g and each measure 2.8cm long and 3cm deep.

SoundSport Free are meant to be used on the go, while you’re exercising and in the gym.

And Bose has ensured the earbuds will stay securely in place with its proprietary StayHear Sport tips that are comfortable to wear for hours on end.

They are rugged as well with an IPX4 rating which makes them water and sweat resistant.

Under the tiny hood is a new antenna system to ensure a solid connection between the earbuds as well as the device they are paired with.

Bose’s onboard miniature acoustic package includes the company’s signature DSP (digital signal processing) and volume optimised equaliser.

The built-in lithium-ion battery delivers up to five hours of listening time.

The Bose SoundSport Free earbuds can also be used to make and answer calls from your paired smartphone.

It also comes with a handy charging case which magnetically holds the earbuds in place while being stored.

And the case also acts as a charger thanks to the built-in rechargeable battery that can provide two more complete charges – that’s an additional 10 hours of listening time.

To ensure you always know where the Bose earbuds are located a Find My Buds feature has been added to the Bose Connect app which can display the last time and place they were used.

The Bose SoundSport Free earbuds are available now and come in three colours – Triple Black, Blue/Citron and Orange/Blue – are priced at $399.95.
