The Sennheiser CX True Wireless earphones provide impressive audio quality, great battery life and offer exceptional value at under $200.

Finding an affordable pair of wireless earphones that also sound good is pretty rare but the new Sennheiser CX True Wireless easily fit the bill to provide an excellent experience.

Let’s face it – not everyone has $500 to spend on earphones – not even $300, but the Sennheiser CX True Wireless earphones – priced at $199.95 – is within everyone’s reach.

And coming from a brand like Sennheiser – you can rest assured the sound quality is going to be there.

Now what you won’t find is active noise cancellation – that’s why they are more affordable.

There is some passive noise cancellation from the seal of the silicon tips when they are sitting in your ear.

We found this was enough to shut out some of the outside world. We were still able to hear our music and podcasts and audiobooks clearly.

Onboard is a proprietary transducer, which is designed and manufactured at Sennheiser’s headquarters in Germany, that delivers such a textured sound with solid bass and crisp mid-levels and nice treble.

Out of the box we found the earphones sounded great but you can dabble with the EQ on the Sennheiser Smart Control companion app to customise the sound more to your taste.

You’re not going to hear a dramatic change but you can add some slight nuance to the sound.

The Sennheiser CX True Wireless earphones are a nice size that fit comfortably in your ear and securely sit in place.

They also have an IPX4 rating so they are fine if you’re sweating it out or get caught in the rain.

Despite their low price, the earphones connect via Bluetooth 5.2 and support SBC, AAC and aptX audio codecs.

The result is a solid high quality connection to your mobile device and impressive audio quality.

Control of your music is literally at your fingertips as well with the on-ear touch controls.

These can also be customised in the companion app so you can decide how you’ll navigate your music, answer calls and access your voice assistant.

Speaking of calls, the Sennheiser CX True Wireless earphones offers decent sound when you’re on the phone.

They are clear enough to make and receive your calls handsfree thanks to the dual microphones on each earbud to pick up your voice.

The Sidetone option also allows users to hear the quality of their own voice in the call so they know what the other person is hearing.

On the battery side, the Sennheiser CX True Wireless earphones are also strong with nine hours of playback with 27 hours also available through the charging case.

The Sennheiser CX True Wireless earphones are available now and are priced at $199.95.
