Samsung has confirmed its Unpacked launch event for Feb 9 (2am Feb 10 AEDT) to launch the company’s latest line-up of flagship Galaxy S22 smartphones which will include next generation camera technology.
After confirming the launch date, Samsung launched a trailer which hints at the low light capabilities of what we’re assuming is the S22 Ultra which will have a four-camera system including a 108-megapixel main camera.
The video showed the shape of the smartphone framing various objects.
Then we see a person making a frame with their fingers and seeing the bright lights of a cityscape shining in the dark with the words: “Break through the night. Break the rules of light.”
This is in reference to new camera sensor that will be included in the camera systems on the Galaxy S22 smartphone range with the S22 Ultra providing the most of the technology’s capabilities.
Last week Samsung were also quite clear with hints that the S22 Ultra will also inherit the features of the popular Galaxy Note range of devices including the S Pen which will be able to be stored within the device’s chassis.
For weeks there have been reportedly leaked images and renders of what the Samsung S22 smartphones will look like.
From reports, Samsung will unveil three Galaxy S22 smartphones – the S22 (6.06-inch display), S22 Plus (6.5-inch) and the S22 Ultra (6.8-inch).
Samsung Unpacked will be live streamed in Samsung Newsroom and on the Samsung YouTube channel from 2am Feb 10 AEDT.
