Lenovo reveals multimedia laptops ahead of Tech World in Beijing

On the eve of its first ever Tech World showcase, Lenovo has revealed new laptops which have been designed to provide a multimedia experience on the move whether you’re creating or consuming content.

The Lenovo Z41 and the Lenovo Z51, with 14-inch and 15-inch full high definition screens respectively, are being positioned in the market as part laptops and part home entertainment devices.

They are powered by the latest Intel Core i7 processor with up to 1TB of onboard storage along with 802.11ac wi-fi connectivity which is up to three times faster than the previous standard.

The standout feature on the Z51 is the integrated Intel RealSense 3D camera that has a depth sensor to capture lifelike 3D  like the human eye.


The devices will be available in ebony black and chalk white with crimson red another choice for the Z41.

Also unveiled by Lenovo is the ideapad 100 – an entry level product that still has a sleek design and aimed at the customer who is only after the basic features of a laptop. It starts from an affordable $US249.

There are 14-inch and 15-inch versions of the device with a thickness of 20.2mm and 22.6mm respectively.

Under the hood is an Intel Bay Trail M N3540 processor with up to 500GB of storage and integrated Intel Graphics.

Battery life can run for up to four hours on a single charge.
