TextBlade is a revolutionary new portable keyboard that gives you a full size typing experience but it as easy to carry around with you as a pen.
It is a third the size and weight of an iPhone 6 but folds out locks in place with magnets to literally put a full set of physical keys at our fingertips.
Smartphones have become the dominant device we use on the go but there is still reluctance to type out lengthy emails, messages and documents because of the small screen real estate.
And with tablets there are plenty of cases around with built-in keyboards as well as standalone Bluetooth keyboards but they either add weight and bulk and give you another product to carry around.
TextBlade is small enough to fit in your pocket but offers a full size keyboard for easy typing.
There is still the full 19mm finger spacing you’d find on a desktop computer and a full 2mm travel so it reacts like a proper physical keyboard.
It also has a low profile so it’s actually thinner than the iPhone 6.
TextBlade uses multi-touch in every one of the physical keys so it can bring rows and rows of more than 70 keys into eight smart keys.
Each key, which has up to six letters and symbols, can tell what part of the button you’re striking and provide accurate results. It works a little like predictive text.
The keys have also been engineered with a technology called MagLever to give the user has the right feel at their fingertips just like a regular keyboard.
There is a rechargeable lithium polymer battery onboard that runs for weeks thanks to the advanced Bluetooth Low Energy connection. And it can be charged from any USB port quickly and easily.
And when you’re done the TextBlade has a magnetic self-packing feature so it folds down in a second and can be slipped back into your pocket again.
TextBlade is now on sale for $US99 at www.waytools.com.
