Australian company Cygnett has extended its audio range with the PurePhonic Bluetooth headphones that offer excellent sound without the cables.
Users can pair the headphones wirelessly to their device with Bluetooth and still enjoy high quality sound within a range of 10 metres.
The headphones themselves are lightweight and fit comfortably on the head and on the ears.
The foam leather-covered ear cups create a seal and isolate the outside noise so all you hear is the music.
The PurePhonic headphones have a compact design and, when you’ve finished listening, they fold up for storage inside the included compact hard case.
On the right ear cup there are also navigation and volume controls to allow users to move forwards and backwards through their music without the need to touch their device.
Also onboard is a microphone for those users who are linking the PurePhonic Bluetooth headphones to their smartphone.
The headphones will allow users to make and receive calls and returns you to your music when you’re done.
Cygnett’s headphones can be paired with up to eight compatible Bluetooth devices so its easy to swap between gadgets.
The wireless range of the headphone are about 10 to 12m and we noticed at that distance the sound was starting to drop out.
And while the convenience factor is high, it should also be pointed out that the PurePhonic Bluetooth headphones offer a quality of sound that belie the fact that they only cost $139.95 and there isn't a cable to be seen.
We were most impressed by the sound quality with solid audio across all levels including excellent bass.
The depth and clarity allowed us to hear every minute detail of our music.
The controls on the right ear cup are easy to access after you get used to the button layout.
The internal battery lasts up to 17 hours and can be recharged using the included USB cable.
But even without power the Cygnett Bluetooth headphones can still be used like regular headphones by connecting an audio cable from the AUX port on the headphones to the headphone jack on the device.
This means the headphones can also be used to listen to non-Bluetooth devices as well.
And what we liked was fact that the audio quality was just as good whether we were listening wirelessly or through the cable.
If you’re after a good quality and affordable pair of headphones that offer excellent sound and the added convenience of wireless connectivity, then the Cygnett PurePhonic Bluetooth headphones truly fits the bill.
