WD My Passport lets you back up all of your files with a touch of colour

While external hard drives are essential products for our everyday computing and back-ups they’re not always the most colourful products in the world – until now. The new WD My Passport is available in a range of bright, vibrant colours.

The My Passport portable hard drives come in six colours – black, blue, red, white, orange, yellow and white – and can match your style and your other devices.

Of course, they can hold all your treasured content and essential back-ups and are small enough for you to carry anywhere with you.

The My Passport drives are just 11cm long, 8.15cm wide and either 1.63cm (1TB) or 2.15cm (2TB, 4TB) thick.

The portable hard drive is slightly larger than a deck of cards.

The WD My Passport drives are ready to use right out of the box so you can start uploading your files and documents for safe keeping.

It works with Windows (Windows 7 onwards) or Mac (Mavericks, Yosemite, El Capitan and Sierra) computers.

Users can connect the drive with a USB-3 cable which provides high transfer speeds.

The device also ships with software so it can automatically backup your files at the time and frequency of your choosing.

Security is another important feature and the WD software also keeps your content safe and private.

You can also set a return message if you ever leave the My Passport drive.

In this situation when someone tries to connect it, a message appears in the password field with your details so they know where they can return it.

The WD My Passport drives are available now and are priced at $99 (1TB), $149 (2TB), $229 (4TB).
