Tech Guide’s look at the top health, beauty and fitness gadgets at CES
There are countless new gadgets that are released at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas with many designed to improve health, fitness and beauty or all three.
Not surprisingly there was no shortage of these devices designed to help you look better, feel better and sleep better.
The companies behind these products are among many others around the world who see an opportunity in the marketplace where people are looking to technology to improve their appearance and their health.
Here are some of the health and wellness gadgets Tech Guide discovered at CES:
SKULPT’S CHISEL
People hit the gym to get in shape but for serious fitness fanatics, being able to maintain a certain look and level of body fat was a little hit or miss until now.
Skulpt’s Chisel is a small bioimpedance device that, when placed over individual muscles, can provide accurate measurements of body fat and get detailed information about muscle quality.
The results can be read on the companion app that can display readings for up to 24 different muscles and give fitness advice to reach your goals.
HAIRMAX
Some would go to great lengths and pay large sums of money to prevent or reverse their hair loss and that’s what HairMax claims it can do.
The device is an FDA-cleared product that has been clinically proven to promote hair growth in men and women.
So how does it do it?
The HairMax LaserBand 82 uses therapeutic light energy to target your hair follicles using 82 medical grade lasers.
The result is energised follicles and stimulated hair growth.
QUELL
Unfortunately, there are some people who have to live with pain but treating their afflictions with drugs isn’t always ideal.
That’s where Quell comes in.
This device is a wearable 100 per cent drug-free pain relief solution and uses OptiTherapy technology to stimulate nerves and carry neural pulses to the brain and trigger the body’s natural pain relief response.
JENU
This is a high tech beauty solution that helps increase the absorption of skincare products.
The ultrasonic device is used after the cream is applied to the skin and gently moved in a circular motion to cover the areas you want to treat.
This makes the skincare cream become absorbed further into the skin.
The result is less wrinkles and firmer skin with improved elasticity.
SLEEPION
A good night’s sleep is the key to good health and the Sleepion can help users achieve a restorative and deep sleep.
It does this in three ways.
First it can resonate soft and natural sounds that resembles the pre-natal environment and breathing to sound like a mother’s womb.
Second, the Sleepion can also imitate moonlight which helps regulate biological rhythms and give people a sense of security.
Lastly, the device can also provide a fragrance of natural materials to complete the ideal sleeping environment.
