Modern technology gives us many things.

Now you can do more than just “like” on Facebook with Reactions

Now you can do a lot more than like things on Facebook with the release of Reactions which allows users to choose a more appropriate response for what they’re friends are doing and sharing.

Now if you hover your mouse over the like button on your browser or press and hold like on your smartphone, you’ll get some other choices including Love, Haha, Wow, Sad and Angry.

Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg made the announcement with a post and video (on Facebook naturally!) and explained the thinking behind Reactions.

“Not every moment you want to share is happy. Sometimes you want to share something sad or frustrating,” Zuckerbeg said in his post.

“Our community has been asking for a dislike button for years, but not because people want to tell friends they don’t like their posts.

“People wanted to express empathy and make it comfortable to share a wider range of emotions.

“I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the right way to do this with our team. One of my goals was to make it as simple as pressing and holding the Like button.”

So far Love has been the most popular.
