Modern technology gives us many things.

Facebook unveils a new look for the site’s news feed

facebook-small-logoFacebook is at it again with a revamp of the social networking site’s news feed that’s designed to reduce clutter and allow users to focus on their friends’ posts.

The goal is to make the content being shared the highlight of the post.

And this is achieved by doing things like incorporating names, text and captions within the image instead of above and below it.

This allows for each story to be more noticeable and its associated image to be even larger in the news feed.

Facebook, which now has more than a billion users worldwide, is also introducing new ways to explore the news feed with filters to find exactly what you’re looking for.

The All Friends option is just that and shows what all of your friends are up to.

Users can also choose either Photos or Music and that’s all you get from your friends and the Pages you follow.

Clicking on Following changes your news feed to focus on the latest news from the Pages you like and the people you follow.

The Facebook redesign will carry across all platforms in the coming weeks

And to keep the whole experience consistent across all platforms, the Facebook redesign will be applied on the browser, iPhone, iPad and Android devices and will be rolled out in the coming weeks.
