The transmitter and receiver both weigh just 31g and pair in three seconds. Each unit measures 44mm x 45.3mm x 18.5mm.

Wireless Go has 2.4Ghz digital transmission with 128-bit encryption so you have a clear transmission and therefore clear audio even when you’re surrounded by other wi-fi networks.

It has up to 70m of range (line of sight) but has been optimised for shorter range and in but wi-fi areas like shopping centres and hotels.

The receiver can be clipped on to a belt, a camera strap, an item of clothing or on the camera’s shoe mount.

The Wireless Go transmitter and receiver have rechargeable batteries so no need to keep spending your money with AA and AAA batteries.

On a full charge the Wireless Go TX and RX will run for up to seven hours.

“The Wireless GO is an incredible marriage of form and function, substance and style,” says Freedman Group CEO Damien Wilson.

“Pristine audio, versatility and build quality, and a price that will reset the marketplace. Video content is a vital part of everyone’s business, and the simplicity offered by the Wireless GO’s built-in mic means that everyone can produce broadcast quality audio along with their vision: emerging filmmakers, reporters, real estate agents – you name it.

“We continue to identify capability gaps in the market and are determined to be first in the space with revolutionary pro audio equipment, built to deliver brilliant audio for creators around the world.”

The Rode Wireless Go will be available this month and will be priced at $249.
