Amazon is about to release the Echo Spot – the latest addition to the Echo family – which also includes a small circular screen so you can see as well as here information from Alexa.
Pre-orders for Echo Spot have already begun ahead of its April 26 release date.
It will be at priced at $199.
Echo Spot is ideal for a desk, kitchen bench or bedside table thanks to the size and viewing angle of the screen.
Users can still use their voices to turn compatible smart products on and off, book a table a restaurant as well as view videos from ABC News on Fox Sports Australia.
The device includes far-field technology with four microphones and enhanced noise cancellation so it can hear you from across the room even if you’ve got your music blaring.
And even if you have multiple Echo speakers in your home, you will get a response from the closest device.
Echo Spot even has a front facing camera built-in so it is possible to make and receive voice or video calls.
The on-board speaker allows you to play music through the device or directly connect to speakers via Bluetooth or using a 3.5 mm audio cable which effectively adds Alexa to that system.
Echo Spot will be available in black or white and will be priced at $199 from amazon.com/echospot and at retailers including JB Hi-Fi, Officeworks and Myer.
