Modern technology gives us many things.

Foxtel has created a new app so your kids can watch their favourite shows

Foxtel has just launched an all-new app designed for kids and just in time for the summer holidays that will give them a safe and ad-free way to watch their favourite programs on-demand.

Available for free to Foxtel, Foxtel Play and Foxtel from Telstra customers, Foxtel Kids includes popular kids channels Nick, Nick Jr, Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, CBeebies and Discovery Kids.

It has been designed with a kids-friendly interface so a child can easily navigate to their favourite shows including Hey Duggee, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teen Titans, Star Wars Rebels, Adventure Time and Paw Patrol.

But the app has been built with parents concerns in mind including regulating screen time, managing what their kids watch and limiting data use.

With the Foxtel Kids app, which can be used on a smartphone or a tablet, it’s also possible to download content to watch offline – handy for those long drives or flights.

Downloads will remain on the device for up to 31 days and can be watched as many times as you want.

Parental controls include being able to select classifications between G and PG for their kids to watch something suitable to their age.

You can also set a time limit on Foxtel Kids so when it’s time to stop a notification appears on the screen.

And even if your tech savvy child closes the app down and starts it up again to get around the curfew, the Foxtel Kids app remembers the original setting and continues the lock out.

Foxtel Kids can be registered on up to five devices per account and be used by two kids at the same time so there are no arguments in the backseat.

The free Foxtel Kids app is available now from the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store.
