The popular Foxtel Go app will finally land on Android devices on June 3 but it will only be accessible on Samsung devices after an exclusive partnership with Foxtel until the end of October.
Foxtel Go was first released on the iPad last year and earlier this year on the iPhone with Android users waiting anxiously to get their own version.
The app allows Foxtel subscribers to view live and catch up content on the iPhone and iPad.
Now, following Foxtel’s partnership with Samsung which will run from June 3 to October 31, it will accessible on the company’s Android device including the Galaxy S III, the upcoming Galaxy S4, the Galaxy Note II and Samsung’s range of Android tablets.
Users who are home Foxtel subscribers or have signed up to watch the Foxtel package on Samsung’s range of smart TVs will be able to watch programs on the app with a Samsung device.
Samsung’s partnership with Foxtel has been a success with smart TV customers making the Foxtel app more popular than the browser.
This year Samsung will add PVR functionality to its Foxtel service which will allow users to pause and rewind programs.
This functionality will also be extended to the Samsung smart Blu-ray players as well which means you can enjoy the Foxtel service even if you don’t own a smart TV.
